General Surgery
General Surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix, bile ducts and often the thyroid gland.
Surgical procedures include:
- Appendectomy
- Breast surgeries
- Colon and rectal surgery
- Esophageal surgery
- Endoscopy procedures (upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures)
- Gallbladder removal
- Open hernia repairs (umbilical, inguinal, ventral and femoral including laparoscopic hernia repairs)
- Removal of sebaceous cyst, lipomas and skin lesions
The General Surgery Clinic at JCRHC is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
