Senior Health Insurance Information Program
Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) is a free, objective and confidential service sponsored by Jackson County Regional Health Center to help people sort through confusing information about Medicare and health insurance. Certified SHIIP volunteers offer one-on-one counseling and educational resources to support Iowa seniors with Medicare-related questions.
Services Include Help With:
- Understanding Medicare Coverage Options
- Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap)
- Prescription Drug Plans
- Long-Term Care Insurance
- Claims & Billing Questions
All counselors complete state-led certification training and stay up to date through regular continuing education. Appointments are free and confidential.
