Dr. James Stecher is a board-certified radiologist with subspecialty training in musculoskeletal radiology. Originally from Dubuque, IA, he has practiced in the area for almost 12 years. In 2013, Dr. Stecher completed 10 years of post-graduate training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, which included medical school, residency, and fellowship. Dr. Stecher has served as the Radiology Department Chair at MercyOne Medical Center Dubuque for almost 10 years, where he previously served as the Medical Staff President from 2019 to 2021. In his private practice, he interprets a wide range of imaging modalities, including radiographs, ultrasound, CT, MRI, mammography, and nuclear medicine studies. Additionally, Dr. Stecher performs a myriad of image-guided procedures, such as joint injections, arthrograms, breast biopsies and localizations, fluoroscopy, and various ultrasound/CT-guided biopsies and drainage procedures. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Stecher enjoys sports, traveling, and spending quality time with his four children.
