Prescription Assistance Program
The Prescription Assistance Program at Jackson County Regional Health Center helps eligible patients apply for free or reduced-cost medications through participating pharmaceutical manufacturers.
How It Works
If you meet income and eligibility guidelines, we can assist in submitting applications to drug companies that offer medication at little or no cost. Each manufacturer sets its own rules and list of approved medications, so not all prescriptions may be covered.
Eligibility
You may qualify if:
- You are a patient of a Maquoketa physician
- You have no prescription coverage or do not qualify for a low-income subsidy under Medicare Part D
- You are not enrolled in Medicaid
- Your household income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (adjusted for household size)
- You meet individual drug manufacturer guidelines
What to Expect
- A $25 annual administrative fee is required at enrollment. This fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance into any program.
- Most medications are delivered to the doctor’s office for pickup.
- The first shipment may take up to 8 weeks to arrive.
Please Note:
- Jackson County Hospital is not a retail pharmacy and does not offer medication counseling.
- We do not keep medications or samples in stock.
- Patients may need to temporarily purchase medications out of pocket if shipments are delayed.
