Diagnostics

Radiology is a continually expanding department at Jackson County Regional Health Center. We have added multiple modalities in order to more efficiently serve our patients. The modalities include General Radiography, Computed Tomography (CT)Mammography, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)EchocardiogramsNuclear Medicine, and Bone Densitometry.

All procedures must have a written physician order, including diagnosis and / or symptoms which relate to the ordered procedure, and have insurance pre-authorization when necessary.

Interpretations of all radiology exams are provided by Radiology Consultants of Iowa, PLC, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is made possible through, a Picture Archive and Communication System known as PACS. PACS is a system that is used to store and transmit digital images to the radiologists. -  "We are very proud and excited to be able to offer state-of-the art imaging in our warm, friendly hometown atmosphere," said the Manager of Diagnostic Services at JCRHC.

The Radiology Department is staffed 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, the department is staffed 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for outpatient x-rays, with on-call staff for after-hour emergency procedures.
